Weekly memo sent to a few brave, slightly insane souls.
You’re part of the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) if you’ve asked us more than a dozen times “when can I help?”
Okay, okay. You can help. Watch for the weekly memo. It will tell you what we’re working on and when, approximately.
Seriously though, thank you. I would write something about gratitude and giving your life and the secret sauce of being there when it counts but those things are never really carried in words and they are in you so here’s just a knowing nod and “thank you,” and “I’m glad you’re here.”
How we want you to think about these memos and the build and helping and everything…
“We want it to be what it will be. It will take the time that it takes.” – part of me
“What a dumb, millennial thing to say.” – another part of me
- Time is in God’s hands. We want to commit our spirits there too. Psalm 31 helps me.
- I think maybe Urgency is our enemy. Diligence seems friendly. Revelation 12:11-12 helps me.
- We don’t really want to make a building. We really want to know a Builder. Jeremiah 9:23-24 helps me.
“There’s something sweet about wasting time when you know it’s not going to run out.” Lia helps me.
(Those are my sunny thoughts on a clear day with lots of sleep and no fussy babies to feed. So… check back in a year or so.)
There will be many days to help, I’ll do my best to make sure you know about them.
As a local sage* recently advised us… “Pace ya’self.”
Thank you, we’re glad you’re here.
Part with you,
R+L
